Again, this is just a rough idea and needs officer and club body approval.
The Marketing Group is willing to organize this event. We would like to make it big and use as a fund-raiser, either for FRRC or a local charity. If we do this for charity, we should be able to get a lot of publicity through that organization.
Have it in a prime location with lots of traffic (Timber Rattlers Stadium, empty lot near Fox River Mall, or empty lot on Appleton's east side off of 441)
Have a brat fry through a food vendor (Lil' Orbits Donuts, or 1910 Sausage Co) as they have the required licensing
Have a band

This is a rough idea. Needs tweaking and Officers' approval.
Use our Web Site to conduct a poll
1) have drivers indicate their interest of participating on their Drivers Registration Form
2) have a "Best Appearing" page which contains driver's list along with picture of car and the criteria
3)limit votes to once a day (to keep "stuffing" to a minimum)
4)use pamphlets and track announcer to promote the Web Vote, and explain criteria
5) a paper ballot vote at the track on Fireworks Night along with a driver's autograph session, and continue with Web Voting for the entire month of July
6) Blue Race (8/19) we will have the fans pick the winners out of the top 3 finalists. Have the top 3 from each division on track and using the DECIBLE READER, have the crowd cheer for their favorite.
7) LIVE award presentation, possibly get a sponsored award (...detail shop, car dealership, carwash...)

EXCITED!!! The first meeting went very well. Everyone was full of great ideas, and there was plenty of brainstorming.
DISCUSSED:
*establishing method of having a fan vote for "Best Appearing Car"
*getting the drivers in the stands for interviews and autographs
*the return of checkered flags for race winners
*possibly bringing back the "victory lap"
*have the Roll of the Die on the front stretch during opening ceremonies
*building a t-shirt gun
*asking Loran Leech if he would do inner track driver interviews
*contacting the Division of Gaming to attain a raffle license - allowing us to have large item raffles
*ticket giveaways
*have a Checkered Flag autographed by all Feature winners, giveaway through FRRC 4 Kids on the following week
*look into selling ads for our website
*distribute discount coupons at events in the surrounding area (car shows, festivals, tournaments, etc.)
*organizing a pre-season or early season car show. We talked about location, date, and if we could develop it into a fund-raising opportunity
*becoming more community minded through charitable fund-raising, to raise awareness of "local racing" to the general public
*inviting area high school bands to come in to do the Nat'l Anthem and run the nights 50/50 once a month. possibly Red,White and Blue races, and give them discount coupons for them to pre-distribute to their family and friends. create a competition between them based on how many of their coupons are returned.
